Developmental Services of Nebraska Inc. helps persons, both children and adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness and behavioral challenges, gain skills, knowledge and experience to increasingly use and benefit from the resources and settings available to all citizens in our community.
To fulfill it’s mission, the agency relies on seven principles

DSN service provision includes
- Adult Group Homes
- Group Homes for adolescents
- Emergency Shelter Center for Youth
- Vocational Training Center
- Enhanced Treatment Group Home
- Outpatient therapeutic services for individuals and their families
The services offered at each facility differ according to the needs of those served at that location.
We at DSN believe that on-going staff training is a key element in the success of those in services. During their initial three months of employment, all Youth Care Specialists (YCS) and Life Skills Trainers (LST) are required to attend extensive training. Additionally, between 15 and 24 hours of on-going staff development training is provided annually to each staff member to enhance and refresh job skills.
